Sarah Fawcett-Bice (Nurse Coordinator)
Sarah graduated from Durham College with Honours and has received numerous awards for exceptional work in both nursing practice and research. Sarah gained valuable experience in hospital nursing at Lakeridge Health before being presented with the opportunity to pursue a passion for Fertility Nursing. Life Quest Centre for Reproductive Medicine has provided a wonderful opportunity for Sarah to be trained at one of the premier IVF Centres in the Country. Sarah has also completed Laboratory training with Roche in Indiana and Imaging training with True North Imaging in Downtown Toronto. Sarah’s attention to detail combined with her empathetic and compassionate demeanor are ideal attributes for the Nurse Coordinator position at Lakeridge Fertility. Sarah is committed to providing superior nursing care and is the perfect person to guide couples on their journey to parenthood.
Caitlin James (Assistant Nurse Coordinator)
Caitlin is an excellent health promoter whose passion for Fertility Nursing was apparent with her volunteer efforts at Lakeridge Fertility. In addition to Caitlin’s Nursing education she possesses a strong background in health promotion including expertise in Nutrition and exercise instruction. Life Quest Centre for Reproductive Medicine and True North Imaging have provided Caitlin with state of the art training for her position at Lakeridge Fertility. Caitlin’s passionate and caring nature ensures couples a comfortable and informed journey on their way to achieving pregnancy.
Jessie Dunn (Fertility Nurse)
Jessie graduated on the Dean’s list from George Brown College with honors, and obtained several academic awards of excellence. She came highly recommended from her superiors and peers alike when Jessie expressed her passion to work in the fertility field and specifically at Lakeridge Fertility. Jessie received personal, hands-on mentorship in advanced ultrasound technique from Esaote in addition to a comprehensive term of general fertility training. She also participates in on-going learning to help implement advancements in fertility treatments for our patients here at Lakeridge Fertility. Jessie has an outgoing personality with a warm and engaging sense of humor that has been very appreciated by our patients in their fertility journey.
Dr. Andrew Browning (Medical Director)
Dr. Browning completed a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology prior to commencing Medical School at McMaster University. He graduated from McMaster in 1989 and completed a rotating internship at the University of Toronto the following year. Doctor Browning completed specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with a special interest in infertility, at the University of Western Ontario in 1994. For the last 15 years Doctor Browning has functioned as the Medical Director for the Barrie Fertility Centre. He is a consultant and advisor to several Pharmaceutical and Medical Device companies. Dr. Browning is also commonly retained as an Expert Witness for the Canadian Medical Protective Association. Dr. Browning is the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie as well as a clinical teacher for the Rural Ontario Medical Programme and the University of Toronto Family Medicine Teaching Unit at RVH in Barrie. Dr. Browning has constructed a practice that allows him to focus the vast majority of his time on infertility.
David Weeks (Managing Director)
David is an experienced business person that has worked in various senior management positions with a number of multi-national companies in North America including a role as Director of Marketing, Sales Planning and Business Communications at Gillette Canada. David developed expertise in the health care field after spending a number of years employed with Bristol Myers Squibb, as well as being a client with his wife in their own successful fertility experience under the care of Dr. Browning a number of years ago. David will be responsible for the efficient and smooth operation of the clinic with a focus on customer care, and will maintain strong collaborative relationships with the medical community and local municipalities.
